Andrei Arshavin’s agent says the deal taking him to Arsenal from Zenit St Petersburg will happen sometime in the next week.
The 27-year-old Zenit St Petersburg playmaker was linked with Arsenal as soon as the transfer window opened. Other Premier league clubs such as Tottenham have aslo been linked with the player but Arsenal have always looked like his final destination.
The deal thought to be around 15 million will be a club record for Arsenal, beating the £13million they paid for Sylvain Wiltord nine years ago.
Andrei Arshavin’s agent had this to say about the transfer
“The deal should go through this week,”
“Andrei wants to go, Arsenal want him and Zenit accept they have to sell.”
“It’s just a matter of sorting out the sums but the indication is it’ll happen soon, perhaps within days.”
Wile many of us have been waiting for a new DM i really feel Arshavin will bring the bit of flair to the midfield we have been missing so far this season.

yeah , he will be a good buy he would take the pressure of Nasir and creat more opennings for the strikers. I still think we need one or two other experinced players( One CB and one striker)
