Midfielder Alex Hleb could face an early end to his season after an off the ball incident in the home win against Reading on Saturday. Although referee Peter Walton, and his assistants missed what actually happened, the television media have been keen to highlight it, meaning that The FA could call for video replays of the incident, where Hleb appeared to slap Reading Captain Graeme Murty.

Although there seemed little in the incident, Murty received treatment on the pitch, and indicated to the officials that he was unhappy, displaying a punching motion.

Should The FA follow this up, and Hleb is found guilty, he would receive a three match ban, ruling him out of the final games of the current season.
