Nope.. I watched the game and I only saw song doing his defensive work. Sad to say, I notice everyone in the game except diaby. He was totally anonymous to me except for a few ocassions when I saw an arsenal player giving the ball away and holding on to the ball for too long.. and that was diaby.

He is simply not good enough to be playing for us. He is tall, but he does not add any advantages to our midfield.

I am definitely afraid that our season may go downward spiral when song goes for the Africa nations cup. Without song, we would have lost a shield!!! He was outstanding yesterday like any other games which he played in.

I seriously hope denilson comes back soon. At least the reading of the game from denilson is better than diaby. Passing and interception is also better than diaby.

Seriously, I hope to see more of nasri as well in a defensive role. My ideal partnership in midfield is song, nasri and fabregas. With nasri acting as both a playmaker as well as a defensive midfielder, something like andrea pirlo of ac milan.

In the absence of song, then i would pick denilson. In actual fact, denilson, song and nasri are all okay for me to play as the 2 midfield partners of cesc.

Furhtermore, i feel that though we kept scoring goals, our attack lack something still and that is rosicky. With him, our attack is more fluent. Maybe nasri can play in replacement for rosicky, when rosicky is out. We need good passers and someone that can hold the ball and know when to pass.

We need walcott for his pace as well, and vela as well for his pace. Seriously, we have some easy games coming up, like against wolves next week. After that would be the international week. Hopefully after the international week, our guys would have recovered, especially denilson, rosicky, walcott, bendtner and vela.

Then we would face sunderland, chelsea and also mancity (carling cup).

We definitely need all the players back. We have the squad, we have the depth to win all the games. The only thing i am worried is what will happen when song is gone? Do we have a replacement? Denilson and nasri are capable, but will arsene wenger keep sticking to diaby?

God knows...

your analysis this time is very poor please watch the game again and then comment. today we put a professional performance diaby played well and today he was meant to be defensive and that he did extremely well. Please do get behind the team.

Arsenal achilles heel show in the way they defend. The midfield lacks a strong and physical player who is not shy to tackle.Alex Song is showing promise but is still not up to the task;Diaby is too soft and doesn't possess the speed needed in desperate situations such as in counter-attacks;Denilson isn't up to the task either.Someone to complement Fabregas in midfield,a player with the qualities of Patrick Vieira or Michael Essien. We will continue to score many goals but we will soak in more still.

look at chelsea they have been average in all of their games so far but still they have 18 from 6. cuz they have world class players in the defensive midfield area essien mikel . this is the area which will win u games even if u play average. this is the area which will win u big games against big teams like utd chelsea etc manu have fletcher scholes anderson. now arsenal have plenty of experience in the attacking part of the game with arshavin rosicky eduardo rvp etc but we lack the holding/defensive midfielder who can win us games, who can be dirty enough to fight someone like fletcher this is the reason why we lost against the physical teams last season like fulham and stoke city etc denilson is definitly not the answer song will be world class but at the moment he is not at his prime diaby is not a defensive player.gallas and vermaelen are world class CB but they also need some help from the midfield area.
