Arsenal move for Gareth Barry?
Reports in todays papers claim that Arsenal have contacted Aston villa about a possible move for the England midfielder.
The Sun says Arsenal officials have contacted Villa to find out the latest position while no official bid has been lodged, the Gunners are prepared to offer cash plus a fringe player like defender Justin Hoyte.
After Mathieu Flamini’s move to AC Milan it would make sense to sign Barry but the price has to be a stumbling block so we don’t know how much truth there is in this story.

i say we sign him he clearly wants to play champions league football so we can offer him in replace of flamani if he goes to Liverpool im 1000% percent sure that he wont get to play all the games he wanted to look at benayoun for example he went for champions league football how many times has he played this season under 20. so yes we should buy him we bid 20 million on the table plus arsenal always be beating villa they beat us this season in champions league but they never got no were BARRY MY ADVICE IS 2 JOIN NOW

Why spend £18 for a 27yr old?? I would rather we pay 7m for him than paying a big sum yet we have diaby who is ready to step up and denilson.Tell you what Diaby is going to be a revelation, he wants his chance and now is the time.Remember the sunderland v arsenal game when he was injured he was one of the best,and i belive most of u remember the CARLING cup against chelsea,when he was substuted we fell short…..so u all know how good that boy can be if given chance.

We do have good players but what we need is replacements for when or if they get injuried because at the moment we are short of players compared to other team so another skilled player would really help.

He’ll be good, but not at the expense of Hoyte. Wenger should offer Eboue instead. Cmon Barry join us, not those pussies liverpool……………

i think we should get barry coz he is tough and he can score goals its exactly wat we need coz arsenal can play great footy but we somtimes strugle to score goals and barry can help us with this. Please wenger do the right thing, we need barry
